Having graduated in business administration at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Claudia Mitteneder first worked in marketing and sales for companies in the aviation sector and then as CEO of a medium-sized tour operator specialised in group travel and media trips. In 1997 she founded her own event and marketing agency and was for many years in charge of the entire marketing activities for different tourism enterprises in Germany and abroad. Her customers included, among others, the ministry of tourism in Syria and incoming agencies in Egypt, India, and Thailand. Since mid-2015 she has been working with the Institute for Tourism and Development, first as a marketing manager, since September 2015 as a CEO. "As an enthusiastic traveller, I am particularly interested in other cultures and in meeting people. When travelling, I see to a respectful and socially responsible behaviour".
